From the time that Lawkim built its Shindewadi Works in 1991, it had set itself the objective of creating a team of Engineering and Shopfloor manufacturing professionals who would bring a new spirit of energy and excitement to the task of creating delight and satisfaction for its customers.
To this end, it has embraced the latest thinking and tools such as Six Sigma techniques to deepen its focus on productive efficiency and good shopfloor practices to improve profitability and personal development.
By translating all Six Sigma manuals from the American Society for Quality USA into Marathi and Hindi to enable everyone to understand both the nuances as well as the discipline and rigors of this important tool, enabling it to grow its own internally certified Green and Black Belts over the years. We are proud that our people have been the first to benefit by the significant growth in their personal development – finding a new value for their services beyond Lawkim. But most have stayed and several have begun exercising great involvement in their communities – being recognized for these by the Maharashtra Government at both the State and the District Levels several times. A distinction that few industrial establishments can boast of ! These awards encompass outstanding performance on the shopfloor and all-round involvedness in community affairs, local education and training and extra-curricular activities of a wide nature.
This Lawkim culture inspires others to also keep growing and developing themselves!
